In 1920, Mazda began as the Toyo Cork Kogyo Co., Ltd, founded in Hiroshima,Japan. They manufactured machine tools. In 1921, Jujiro Matsuda became president. A few years later, in 1927, the company becomes Toyo Kogyo Co., Ltd. Their first vehicle was introduced in 1931, with the “Mazda-Go”. In the 1960’s, Mazda wanted to be different than other Japanese automobile manufacturers. They achieved this goal by putting all their effort into developing the “Wankel rotary engine”.
Even though Mazda’s had been seen in Canada as early as 1959, formal talks did not start until 1968. They entered the American market in 1970. Although every vehicle made always bore the name “Mazda”, the company did not actually adopt the name until 1984. The Mazda Company has expanded and grown since their start. Over the years, new manufacturing plants have opened up in other countries. There is even a Mazda museum at their corporate headquarters, in Japan.

Many people place their trust when doing business with other dealerships. Most times, the salesmen at these places feel as though this is a one- time deal, and they will not see these people again. This is what we always avoid. We never want to be associated with the typical stereo type of the used car dealer. Our customers always call us back and deal with us over and over again, every time they need a car or truck.
